The Yellow Edit embodies the spirit of summer and the season’s favourite colour – from the warm yellow background and human-sized flower models to the timeless, breezy clothing.

Shot in retro Super 8 film, the whole shoot captures carefree summer moments with vibrant, nostalgic visuals and effortlessly elegant style.

It’s a sun-drenched daydream, with our yellow hair look, Golden Hour, the true star of the show. Imagined and styled by the fantastic Amy Woods, colour expert and stylist at Orla Salon (@orla_salon), modelled by the brilliant Maja (@maja.jpeg) – Golden Hour looks as rich as it sounds.

Here’s how we achieved the look…

To bring Golden Hour to life, Amy first applied our 20-volume hair lightening peroxide to Maja’s blonde hair, lifting it to the ideal level for a clean, even application of our radiant yellow hair dye. Amy also used our specially formulated Pre Colour Shampoo to ensure the perfect base to absorb the chosen colour.

With Maja’s hair fully prepped, Amy covered her freshly bleached strands with our Sunflower shade – a punchy, fresh and striking colour full of personality. This single-tone block colour produced rich, golden hair from root to tip – a true statement-making shade that captures the essence of summer.

Amy then smoothed Maja’s naturally wavy hair into a sleek, straighter style, adding soft definition at the front to frame the face. Her make-up was kept dewy and natural, with a subtle glow and a darker liner to make her eyes stand out on film.

Finally, the fit – a simple yet stylish summer combo of an ASOS denim skirt and white linen shirt, with Maja’s own jewellery accompanied by some layered gold flower necklaces and flower earrings (also from ASOS).

All together, Golden Hour presents an intense, eye-catching yellow that shimmers in the sunlight – a hair colour that’s summer to the core.
